Final stages

My idea is an escalator that contains chairs with TV’s and access to social media sites on the screens. These escalators would be the flat escalators that would bring people up to the front of the amusement line so that you wouldn’t have to walk all the way to the front of the line. This way you are able to sit instead of having to wait standing up. This would make peoples experience even more enjoyable at the amusement parks.
Over the course of the semester my idea has not only changed but it has evolved into something totally different than my original idea. Originally I was just looking for a more comfortable way to bring people to the front of an amusement park ride. I was looking for something that would eliminate the stop, go, stop, go in amusement park lines. Through the different topics in lecture of was able to evolve my idea into something that I truly think we could see in the future.
Installing TVs and allowing the uses t have internet access were to ideas that came to me during class. While listening to lecture I just kept thinking how the topics we talked about could really enhance my idea. My idea seems do-able to considering that it is just like an airplane seat minus the airplane!
Allowing people to be entertained instead of being bored in an hour long waiting line seemed like an issue that could be easily solved! The new ideas just kept flowing. I really hadn't thought of allowing people to access twitter until we talked in lecture about how many people use twitter and that it can be a great source of promotion! I can honestly say that a number of reasons that my idea evolved to what it has become is because of the different lecture topics that really forced me to think outside of the box in order to incorporate the topics into my idea.
I don't believe it would be too difficult to make this idea a reality. First what I would do is contact an escalator company as well as a company that produces airplane seats. I would pitch my idea to them and come up with a prototype of my idea. After this, I would contact an amusement part and let them have a month trial of my product and see if they like it. I feel as though social media would be a big source of free advertisement for my product because people would tweet about "the ride before the ride". This would get the name out there and I feel that everything would fall into place! As far as price goes I believe amusement parks would be able to pay this off very fast because it would increase their profit!

Piles of information!

A cure for becoming so tired so fast at amusement parks! I have come up with an idea that will help cure boredom and that tired feeling. My idea is an escalator that has chairs with TV's installed in them. This escalator will move you up to the front of the line, while providing you with exciting entertainment!
A lot goes into this invention as far as technology. This means that a large amount of information is stored on this technology, making databases very useful. Before databases we thought of using text files or even spreadsheets but our company has come to the decision that databases are the answer.
The type of database we use is a relational database model to store our data in an organized place as well as structured location. This allows large amounts of information to be stored as well as provides security. This type of database allows multiple users, which is exactly what we have on our invention.
Majority of the reason that we choose to use a database is because the fact that it allows a multi-user access control. Our invention is not just run by one person, there are many people to control it as well as many different people that use it. A database allows us to have a large amount of information while sorting through it fast, which is exactly what our invention needs.

TheRideBeforeTheRide.com

Hot bored and tired... A cure for becoming so tired so fast at amusement parks! I have come up with an idea that will help cure boredom and that tired feeling. My idea is an escalator that has chairs with TV's installed in them. This escalator will move you up to the front of the line, while providing you with entertainment!
Networking definitely plays a part in my entrepreneurial idea. Because the TV's that are installed have internet access with them this could cause issues. There will need to be control and restrictions placed on these websites so that we can be sure no inappropriate or illegal actions are taking place. We plan on purchasing a website to promote our new technology off of godaddy.com. We intend on calling our website theridebeforetheride.com. This website will explain the function of our product and make it available to all those who want to purchase this product. As I said before we will be placing restrictions on what websites can be accessed. Amusement parks are family oriented and therefore there is no reason for illegal or inappropriate actions or websites to be accessed. The internet will be used for strictly social media, and even that language will be observed to make sure that nothing bad is being said!

Blog review!

http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/how-to-ride-an-escalator
Check out Helen Tseng blog on How to Ride an escalator! Tseng gives you the do's and don't of riding an escalator! It's colorful and fun. From this blog if the words weren't clear enough the picture certainly sums up what the proper etiquette is for riding an escalator! This tells us that we should not block traffic or do inappropriate things while on an escalator. Although it is not identical to my idea it is in the same family and relates because the list of DON'Ts are definitely things that should not be done on my flat moving escalator!
I think that Tseng did an effective job with this blog post. It isn't exactly what I think of when I think blog post, in fact I had to double check to make sure that it constituted as a blog, but I like that it came with a picture to explain the DO & DON'Ts of escalators. I think that bulleting the words along with the picture was effective.
I Like the idea of posting a picture in with the blog, it's something that never has really crossed my mind, so I thank Tseng for that. I do believe that I would be a little bit more conservative with my language in a blog, but hey its personal preference!

A picture is worth a lot of words!

A cure for becoming so tired so fast at amusement parks! I have come up with an idea that will help cure boredom and that tired feeling. My idea is an escalator that has chairs with TV's installed in them. This escalator will move you up to the front of the line, while providing you with entertainment! Fatigue and laziness solved!
Everyone loves to get off an amusement park ride and see the funny pictures that were taking of them while they were on the ride! Thats the best part of my invention, not only are you able to see the picture at the end of the ride but you can mess around with it through photoshop! You can change the colors and effects to whatever you want.
There are a bunch of benefits for using photoshop to get the desired photo you want. This way you can crop out the people that you don't know or don't want in your picture. Lets face it there can be some awkward people in pictures that you may not want to see! Photoshop solves this problem and also allows you to do many other things to enhance your picture
The best part of this is that photoshop allows you to add a text to the photo. This way you can write whatever you want on your picture before you print it out. By doing this you have a memory of the ride and the text to remind you of when it was! After you are finished and happy with your photo it is printed out for you and yours to take home!

Compare and contrast!

These escalators would be the flat escalators that would bring people up to the front of the amusement line so that you wouldn’t have to walk all the way to the front of the line. Competitor 1 overview: This escalator created by Jesse Reno, moves just like my idea would. It is a conveyor belt that moves forward just like mine. The only differences are that I would like my invention to have chairs installed on it with TV's and it wouldn't move upwards at a 25 degree angle, instead my idea would be flat. It would also be much longer than the conveyor belts that most people are used to seeing.
Competitor 2 URL: http://www.archiexpo.com/prod/kone/moving-walkways-11731-163572.html
Competitor 2 Overview: This is what is called a moving walkway. This is semi where my idea originated from. They use this in airports, stations, and shopping center. Mine would be used in the amusement parks instead of the areas it is used for now. The difference again between these are although it is a flat moving walkway mine will have seats installed on it with TV's! These two inventions are very similar, but mine will be much longer than the moving walkways most people are used to seeing. The only other difference is that most people are used to these moving in a straight line. This will not be the case for my invention, it will have to be able to make turns just like a real amusement park line would be like.
My idea for this moving walkway came from both of these inventions that you have read about above. These inventions have been tweaked a little to better fit the amusement park shape. What I mean by this is, when you are standing in line at the amusement park the lines are not normally straight. My invention would be shaped to fit the curves and turns that occur while waiting in line! Other than that the idea of the moving walkway is basically the foundation for my product.

Inside the screen!

A cure for becoming so tired so fast at amusement parks! I have come up with an idea that will help cure boredom and that tired feeling. My idea is an escalator that has chairs with TV's installed in them. This escalator will move you up to the front of the line, while providing you with entertainment!
It can be scary to think that people can access your person information so easily! If you decide to take advantage of the monitiors that are installed in the back of the chairs you can log yourself into any of your social media cites. Once you stand up from your chair all your person information and account information is logged off and erased IMMEDIATELY! This saves everyone from people hacking on to their accounts and messing with their personal information.
When the user logs on the information will be stores in the Cache department of the hard drive because this is only a temporary memory. This screens will have small hard drives because there is no need for each one to have a large one due to the fact that people will not be storing information on these. At the end of the night when the park closes these computer/tvs will be set to erase the days activity so that noone can gain access to these accounts anymore.
There is no need to worry about identity theift. There will be someone who is monitioring each computer/tv monitior just to make sure nothing bad is going on! Certain actions will be limited especially because amusement parks are kid friendly!

Let the world know!

Helping you from feeling fatigued at amusement parks, I have come up with an idea that will help cure boredom and that tired feeling. My idea is an escalator that has chairs with TV's installed in them. This escalator will move you up to the front of the line, while providing you with entertainment!
Social media is a large part of our social culture. It is a way to get new information out to the world. Twitter, Facebook, Foresquare, and number of other sites that spread information like wild fire. This is just what my product needs to establish itself in the market.
Personally I know that while I am waiting in line for rides at amusement parks I tweet up a storm. Always complaining about how long the lines are taking and how I just want to sit down, but everytime I do the line moves a little and I have to get up and move #annoying! I think people will relay the message over twitter and facebook about my new invention.
Also I know most amusement parks have live twitter feeds, so as part of my contract when I install the escalators I will request that the amusement park tweets or puts on facebook that they have a new and improved method for waiting in line. With the TV's that are installed in the backs of each chair, people will be able to access their social media accounts. My hope is that they do some advertising while waiting!
And by checking into their foursquare accounts, peoples friends will see that they are at the parks, which will attract more business. A chain reaction will have been created because now amusement parks around the world will see that my escalators are increasing business and will want to install them in other amusement parks!

Wait no more!

Picture this: it's a nice warm day out, you and your family have just arrived at Disney's MGM Studios. The first thing you do is run to your favorite ride! The Tower of Terror. Once you get there you look up to see that the wait time is an hour and thirty minutes. Your family doesn't want to stand in the long lines and wait, but you insist. Everyone in your family is becoming tired and grumpy because the line is taking so long and they can't distract themselves anymore with their cellphones because their battery is only on 10%. And every time you sit down on the brick wall to rest the line moves a little bit and you have to get up to move again. If only someone could come up with a solution to fix this boredom while waiting!
My entrepreneurship idea is to create a conveyor belt with seats on them for people to sit down during their wait time. These seats will be designed like airplane seats, where there is a TV that people can play games on, or watch TV shows. This belt makes the time fly while waiting, and you don't even have to walk through the lines. The belt automatically moves the seats forward until you get to the front of the line, and step on the ride.
There are certain games that are free of charge, but just like the itunes apps there are some games that people could download that would cost a couple of dollars. Although this would be a large amount of money for the amusement park to install, it would quickly repay its self by bringing in more customers. The lines would be moving faster because people don't have to walk, and lets face it there is always those people that aren't paying attention to the line moving ahead of them. People would be in and out of the lines fast and the wait time would decrease. This would attract the crowds of people who hate going to amusement parks because they hate waiting in lines.
This idea will be beneficial to the park itself and to the customers. No more questioning if it is worth a long wait to get on a ride. Problems solved with entertainment provided!
